Magic's latest set is called War of the Spark, which takes place on Ravnica and drastically changes the setting what with hundreds of planeswalkers coming to Ravnica while a Dragon God attempts to harvest their sparks.
Can the Gatewatch and friends stop Nicol Bolas and his eternal army, or will Bolas ascend to godhood, tune in next week for the thrilling conclusion to War of the Spark!

The latest Magic: The Gathering set takes place on Ravnica which with the release of the Guildmaster's Guide is now eligible for DM's Guild. The latest set covers a large story event where a metric tonne of planeswalkers are all converging to have themselves a big old war. While the story takes place in Ravnica it's not really a story about Ravnica, there is a much larger context to take into account.
Given that there's a bit of confusion as to whether all the characters and story beats that appear in War of the Spark are now eligible to be included in DM's Guild content.

More specifically I was refering to the novel War of the Spark, mostly set on Ravnica and to a much lesser extent, Amonket.
It involves Ravnica Guild politics, most Planeswalkers, all kinds of Eternal Zombies which are like mummies coated in a special mineral (including Eternal Angels, Eternal Demons, Eternal Minitaurs, Eternal all Amonket races, and Eternal Gods), ect...,
In many ways it renders Guildmasters Guide to Ravnica obsolete (the book should have been writter after these events).

I disagree. I'm glad they set the book during the second block. Ravnica is a much more interesting place before it is invaded and destroyed by a Mary Sue villain.
(Also wow, I now understand fans of old versions Greyhawk/Dark Sun/Forgotten Realms)
