Does anyone know if they're still aiming for a November deadline for writing when they haven't yet announced a winner? I'm just thinking the window for writing an entire book is getting narrower and narrower. And I don't think a reduce self spell is going to help anyone fit into it ...

From what I understand of the messages on the above-mentioned forum, the winner has already been notified but not announced...I may be mis-reading this, but that's my take on it. As the book editor commented regarding the War Torn series, "...All four titles have authors."

I read those messages, too, and I don't think anyone can conclusively prove anything from them. I saw someone indignantly going over the editor's remarks like a lawyer going over a contract, and I know that I don't write my own messages that carefully.

The author might know. The author might not know. All I know is that I haven't heard that I've won yet, and I haven't heard that I've lost yet. Speculation beyond that is not productive for me.

This is probably the same Graeme Davis who has written more than few RPG titles, including Tales of Freeport, Clanbook: Assamite, GURPS Vikings, and so on. Good for him. Too bad he's not really a "new" author, meaning I'd have liked to see someone get a "big break" here.
