War weaver exceeds spells per day?

So in a fit of madness I just shelled out retail price for Heroes of Battle. It looks good, but I have a question about the war weaver. This class has an ability called Quiescent Weave that basically lets you pre-cast spells on yourself and several allies. The spells are held in the "weave" and you can release all of them at once with a single move action. The weave lasts for 24 hours or until you create a new one.

This is a cool ability, but as written seems to let the war weaver exceed their normal spells per day. You could set up the weave, rest for 8 hours and prepare spells again (or not if you're a spontaneous caster). Then when the fur flies you can release the spells in the weave and cast your normal allotment. It seems like in a normal group, the war weaver would create the weave at the end of each day, filling it with buff spells, then in the morning be ready to go with their full slots available, plus the weave.

Since WotC generally seems to make a real effort to avoid exceeding spells per day, I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

I don't have the book and don't intend to get it, but I would rule that the slots that are held in the weave are unavailable for memorization after rest.

On the same Idea...what is to prevent someone from casting Persistent Spells, immediately resting and rememorizing.

Nothing as far as I know. Maybe it's not an issue. I was just curious.
