Warden Goliath Polearm Stoneblessed PP

Okay has anybody got some idea's to flesh this out.

Looking at 15 Wisdom by level 11 to get Polearm Gamble for OA's on any enemys moving next to me.

Plus Sudden Roots to slow them as well.

Plus the Paragon Path puts my Reach from 2 up to 3, then I will pick forms that get me up to Reach 4.

Also looking at Halberd polearm so I can get Axe spec at Epic for 19-20 crits as others requ high dex.

Start 18 Str, 15 Con and 14 Wis, and 11 Dex.

Any sneaky tricks or plans.

The Wardens Fury mark punishment works well with Reach 3 or 4.

And the PP encounter power for Threatening reach is potent with Reach 3 / 4.

I just played an epic level version of this last weekend. Between the 3-4 reach and feats to up my defenses to insane levels when I second wind add with the feat to increase the mark penalty with you use the Goliath encounter power it worked pretty well.

It was kind of sick when I could get myself in a good position and mark a bunch of creatures, impose a -9 attack penalty to attack anyone else, have threatening reach of 4, raise all my defenses by 9 and have 15 resist all for a round. Needless to say, not many of my allies got attacked that round.
 

How did you get threatening reach of 4? I've tried to find ways to extend threatening reach a few times (for stuff like a polearm/charge Slayer) and can't seem to find ways to increase it.
 

Polearm gives a reach of 2, Stoneblessed add +1 reach, certain Warden dailies add another +1 reach and the Stoneblessed 12th level encounter gives threatening reach till the end of your next turn. There is also a Wis based Warden PP that has a daily that gives you threatening reach for an entire encounter and increases your reach by 1.
 

Ahh, so warden specifics. I know I can push my reach out to crazy lengths, the threatening reach was the issue. In any case, thanks for the info ;)

Problem for me is that to get Polearm gamble, the wonderful Warden AC is compromised with no shield, and you cant start Con at 20, did this lesser AC cause problems ?

Did you go the route to get as many 2nd winds as you could and feats to buff 2nd winds, as that uses heaps of feats ?

Without Dwarf trait to 2nd wind as a minor action, was it a problem to use 2nd winds as a standard action and not have your attack that round ?

AC wasn't really a problem as I had taken a feat to increase it. It still wasn't high, but between temp HP's, resistance and a bunch of surges I wasn't to worried about taking damage. My NADs on the other hand were abysmal.

Yep, I had the magic armor that gives you an extra second wind, plus a couple of feats.

Without Dwarf trait to 2nd wind as a minor action, was it a problem to use 2nd winds as a standard action and not have your attack that round ?
I took a Epic level feat that let me make a melee basic attack when I used second wind.

When I get home I'll post a summary of my PC.

Threatening Reach for an Encounter is good only problem with that PP is that it comes in at level 20.
This Stoneblessed gives you it at level 12 even though its till EONT.

How do you get to Reach 5, I saw that you could do that somehow ?
