I think you're going about this all wrong. Warforged aren't built with hit dice, they're trained in class levels. A simple Craft Construct shouldn't be able to reproduce this.
What I would do is go for leadership, and simply claim you 'built' him. The DM can even incorporate this into the storyline and the mechanics don't get needlessly complicated. Maybe even have the followers be more warforged, attempts at recreating the first, superior one.
Another means is the reincarnate spell, or at least a modified version (you'd have to ask for DM's assistance in this). But then, that's not necessarily from scratch.
If you really want to go Craft Construct, then you're going to need an artifact of some kind, or some high level magic. A quest or some such could accomplish either of these. As for price, if there is one, you'll have to consult your DM. The trick isn't figuring out what the cost of these materials is, it's what the DM feels appropriate for giving you a pet NPC.
