An artificer can still repair them, so just make sure the party packs repair wands or artificers or wizards with repair. I think they are really tough fighters, kinda like undead, a lot of immunities, but they suffer from the narrow healing requirements, unless the party is built to compensate.
I've got one I play occassionally; a psi-warrior/pyrokinetic/juggernaut. Great fun. Not perhaps the greatest damage dealer due to the BABs but excellent tanks and grapplers (mmm, flaming armor spikes). Juggernauts can do loopy things, like charge those flesh-crafting demon guys that cause insanity and drain stat points with their attacks. Lemme tell ya, the mindflayers were most unhappy about the "immune to mind affecting" warforged bearing down on them.
