Warlock builds

I'm looking for a decent Warlock build that focuses on Eldritch Blast, does anybody know some good prestige classes that enhance the Edlritch Blast ability?

Also, I'm entirely new to Warlock, can somebody please recommend me some feats? Thanks in advance!

Use Hellfire

Ingredients:
6 levels of Warlock
3 levels of Ruathar
3 levels of Hellfire Warlock
8 levels of whatever other full casting PrC you want

Feats: Look them up here

Note: It is debated if the Strongheart Vest trick works with Hellfire Warlock's abilities. If your DM thinks it doesn't, take a level or two in the Binder class from Tome of Magic first before going into Warlock and bind Naeberus to heal 1 point of ability damage per round.

Warlocks never seem to have enough feats. For an Eldritch Blast build, Point Blank Shot is a given. Also, Precise shot is useful as well (-4 can be painful even if you're rolling against touch). Empower Spell-like Ability/Ability Focus (both in the Monster Manual) are excellent for a blast focused build as well.

Ruather will not help you with warlock levels.

The +1 is to spellcasting levels not CL so it won't aid in any spell penetration checks for your EB and a warlock is not a spell casting class (see Complete Arcane)

The Eldritch Theurge prestige class from Complete Mage is pretty decent.

It requires ability to cast 2nd level spells.

Quickest way is via wizard - best way (IMO) is via sorcers {although that requires 4 levels).

Some of the Prestige Class abilites allow you to add an area effecting spell to your EB, others allow you to add in your Eldritch essence to a target affecting spell.

Enlightened Spirit Pres Class (from the same book) is also pretty decent.

You get spirit armor and your EB gets to do additional damage to undead.

You also get wings later on.

For feats:

I recommend:

Fiendish heritgage and feindish power (if evil)

or fey heritiage and fey power (if chaotic)

The "power" feats add +1 to save DCs and CL for invocations (good to help against spell resistance)

Warlocks benefit in a specific way from prestige classes that have "+1 spellcasting level of existing arcane spellcasting class" or "+1 level of existing spellcasting class" as a level advancement benefit. A warlock taking levels in such a prestige class does not gain any of his class abilities, but he does gain an increase in caster level when using his invocation and increased damage with his eldritch blast. Levels of prestige classes that provide +1 level of spellcasting effectively stack with the warlock's level to determine eldritch blast damage (treat his combined class level as his warlock level when looking at table 1-1: The Warlock) to determine eldritch blast damage and eldritch blast caster level (half his total class level from his warlock and the prestige class that grants him an increased spellcasting level). [Errata'd out.] A warlock also gains new invocations known at these prestige class levels as though he had gained a level in the warlock class.

I stand corrected.

They must have either the 9 skill ranks or +6 BAB to qualify though since they can't meet the 3rd level spell casting prerequisite.
