D&D 5E Warlock Class Feature: Exploding Blast

I also think both changes will, at best, turn an eldritch blast spamming warlock into a AoE firebolt spammer. Does that really improve things?
See my comments above to Ganymede81. I don't have a problem with the Warlock using Cantrips a lot. That's no worse than a Ranger who uses longbow a lot, or a Fighter who always uses his magic sword all the time. I just want to give the Warlock more cantrips to choose from (just like a Fighter can be built around rapier, longsword, great axe, halberd, etc.).

But I think you're really asking about AoE cantrips balanced with an Agonizing Eldritch Blast. And my answer is that an AoE cantrip should be weaker than an Agonizing Blast, because that Agonizing Blast is balanced by not having power from some other invocation you could have chosen instead.
I see what you mean. I had made Agonizing Blast into a class feature as well, because everyone takes it, but by making Exploding Blast and Agonizing Blast into separate Invocations you can choose between, maybe not everyone takes it. This is good. Thanks.
