Warlock Feats

So is it just me, or does the warlock seem short on feats?

I've been conceptualizing a build for a while and once I got into the class I found it to be a bit feat shy.
Assume Human race
Lvl
(1) Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot
(3) Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast)
(6) Quicken Spell-Like Ability (Eldritch Blast)
(9) Maximize Spell-Like Ability (Eldritch Blast)

I'm of the opinion that Skill Focus (UMD) might be quite useful. Any other thoughts? I am a fan of the Quicken SLA: Move, Blast, Activate Invisibility, repeat next round.

Thoughts?

Warlocks benefit from the Retraining rules, so that they can take Toughness and Skill Focus (UMD) at level 1 to survive and then swap them out for more useful feats once your HP/skill modifiers get to more reasonable levels.

Not really a big deal as the campaign will not be starting from lvl 1.

I don't suppose Penetrating Shot (PHBII) applies to the Eldritch blast as it's not a projectile weapon... *sigh*

Perhaps Combat Reflexes?

*sigh* this build is a Warlock/Binder/Hellfire build, so I'll be losing 1 BAB and I think one or two Dark Invocations. (Gain a bunch of Hellfire damage dice though)

You don't qualify for Quicken SLA until 10th level (Eldritch Blast is CL1, and Quicken SLA can only be applied to an ability duplicating a spell with a level less than or equal to half its caster level (round down) -4).

I'd take Maximise at 6th level, then an item creation feat (maybe Craft Wand or Craft Wonderous Item) at 9th, leaving Quicken for 12th. You don't gain the nifty ability to use UMD checks in place of spell prerequisites until later, but in the meantime you can fill in with scrolls, wands or cooperative crafting.

And if you're using PHBII Retraining rules, it's worth considering taking Spell Penetration at 3rd level, then swapping it out later once you gain Vitriolic Blast. Alternatively, use wands of Orb spells to overcome SR at low levels, and take Skill Focus (UMD). Weapon Focus probably isn't worth your while when you're making Touch attacks.

Warlock question

Hello everyone, i´ve never used warlock before so starting with the class i am with some doubts about the use of invocations + eldritch blasts.
1 - When i use a invocation that change the form of my blast, the action of cast the invocation and throw the blast in the enemy is a standard action or in one round i cast the invocation and in the other i throw the blast?

Blast Shape and Eldritch Essence invocations do not take actions, they simply modify the eldritch blast you use them on.

Yeah, what Zurai said. You're not using an invocation and then using an eldritch blast, you're just using an eldritch blast differently. A warlock deciding to make his eldritch blast Vitriolic is just like a fighter deciding to Power Attack for -5/+5. It doesn't change what action you're taking.
