D&D 5E Warlock, Pact of the Boon Specific Wording Question

-snippy grammar stuff-
"from any class's list [no matter which]" is exactly what is being said in the text, and it is exactly what is meant.
I hope this helps.

If by "helps" you mean "confuses things in horribly in my mind", then yes. :D

Whether the use of singulars with "any", and would seem from your citations it is, what is written still indicates you are to select 3 "from any [no matter which] class list"...not 1 spell from this list, 1 spell from a different one, etc... as is being suggested. 3 spells from any [a ---, singular, no matter which] list.

That's what you're saying, right?

Would "from any classes' list" not be correct...if it was intended to be choosing your 3 from among different/multiple classes' lists? Nah, I guess not...reading it "out loud" [in my head], as it were, sounds funny. Nevermind.

Warlocks'll still be choosing from 1 list at my table. :)

IMHO the pact boons aren't/can't be all that equal in all sides from the start as they are designed for different purposes. But the invocations are also there to give you options for 'upgrade'. If a warlock chooses not to use any invocations related to his pact then let him be.

Also Pact of tome would need ancient knowledge invocation to access all rituals.
Yet again its wording is specific that it can choose any ritual spell. So I'd apply the same logic to the discussions in choosing cantrips.

"The wording choose from any [option to choose from] class's spell list
[List - as singular because each class does have only one spell list]."

changing it to 'from any class's spell listS" is grammaticaly incorrect.

I enoyed the objective discussions and i agree we cant agree on all points but all are good. cheers! :)
