Warlock w/ Swordmage MC - Am I missing something?

Ryujin is right. There's no need to houserule anything. Arcana is not a required Warlock skill... you can just retrain it.

Just to be clear, the house-ruling question concerns a Swordmage multi-classing into Wizard (or the other way around). The Warlock question is, indeed, a simply retrain.

Do you have a subscription and the latest updates? I do. Does Arcana skill show up in the "build/retraining" section after you level up? It doesn't for me.

Yes, and yes.

[edit] Did you try to retrain Arcana before you selected the Blade Initiate feat? [/edit]

I tried after with my current character then created a new one, to try it before. In both cases Arcana didn't show up in the retraining list, but could be deselected in the 'build' skills window and another skill could be chosen.

That's likely how I would house rule it if it was my own campaign but since I already have a racial and a background bonus, I'd much rather pick up another skill like Religion or Thievery ;)

I just started a new Warlock in CB. I choose Arcana as one of my skills. I picked some powers and saved the character. I leveled up to level 2. Went to retraining. Picked level 2. Selected Arcana, and retrained to Thievery. Went to feats, and picked Blade Initiate. Went to skills and everything is correct.

It works fine for me. Which is weird.
