So... what you're sayin' is that my plan of pre-emptively cursing every party member is not as good as I thought? ;-)

Out of interest - where is this feat from? I can't find it in PHB, and currently don't have access to anything other, but my DM might.

edit: OK, my google was strong today, so I found the source, Arcane Power, just the type of book we're never using, and I don't think I'm going to be the one to recommend it ;-) Still, I got served hard

Imagine that, the FAQ is wrong!

According to WotC the FAQ's are official sources of rules. That may make the term "FAQ" a bit misleading but nevertheless whatever is in it is a ruling that is just as valid as anything in the books. Obviously you can disagree with the quality of the rules, regardless of source, but the mere fact that it is in the FAQ makes it correct insofar as it being a rule goes. In other words the FAQ by definition can't be wrong.
