I have thought about making him have four arms like Sunlord Thalachos for Pathfinder. What powers and abilities could I give him to make him original? I have thought he has the abilities of a paladin. I would like to give him the light based exalted feats from the Book of Exalted Deeds.

First, I think we should ask the question "What is an Angel?" For, you see, originality is not merely about appearances - such things ultimately matter little when dealing with a race of powerful beings who can change their appearences with magic - but involves many issues.
For example, are they like humans in their mindset, but more holy, or are their thoughts utterly are alien to ours due to their ability to see and understand so much more than a mere human can process?
Do they have free will? A conscience? A sense of humor? What drives them? What makes them tick?

IIRC in comic books, movies , books an TV angels have some free will.
Creating this angel has get me wanting to become and play as the angel described below. The angel described below is second only to the angel I described in this post first when it comes to combat. The angel below is a Seraphim (angel with six wings except for him). The angel described below has the ability to turn into a being of pure holy light; the ability to heal, resurrect, and cure diseases. This angel cannot tell a lie and is Lawful Good.
Standing at the center of a blindingly bright cloud of light is an empyreal figure that appears to be a twelve feet tall human male. Six pairs of wings of made out of golden light sprout from his back. The wings have a wingspan of thirty-six feet. He is muscular, sleek muscles rippling under his glowing golden skin. On his head he wears a golden crown crafted in imitation of the sun’s rays. His hair is bright shining gold, almost the color of the sun reaches down to his broad shoulder. His angelic looking face has a strong, square jaw line and a square hairline. His eyes are bright golden in color and burn like miniature suns. He wears a flowing robe made from a thin silk like material. If you look at it closely the random starry night pictured on it becomes a moving galaxy of its own. Within this galaxy you can see the sun in all its glory. Look at it too long and so you will feel like you are surrounded by the swirling vortex that is the cosmos. On his feet he wears leather sandals. In his hands he holds a magnificent looking two-handed sword that is twelve feet in length. The blade is etched with angelic runes. He holds the sword as if it where an extension of his body.

Islam believes that angles do not have free will, and can only do what God tells them to.

I like the robe, but your OP question was "does this sound original?"
If you are ok with cool / interesting, but no that original, then build them out as described. If you really want original, move away from the awe-insring silver / white / gold stuff. And don't go to the "laid back biker dude" angel - it's been overdone.
The dwarf angel above is actually pretty cool - I've never seen a short, grumpy angel with a beard before.

I know that the wings will always stay the same since it has light-based powers. What can I look to more better looking? How about it having six pairs of wings as a star? He is a great warrior in the Seven Heavens and will never tell a lie.

Considering that angels have shown up in a dazzling array of forms- from totally innocuous robed pilgrims to entirely non-humanoid forms...even in the Bible and similar religious texts (to say nothing of modern works of literature)- just go with whatever you want.
