Was the mini Ruins of Undermountain part of the reprint?

I have the mini Ruins of Undermountain box set for many years, and my buddy has a Deities and Demigods (or Legends and Lore..).

1)Was the mini Ruins of Undermountain part of the reprint? I honestly don't remember how I managed to come by this box set.
2)What ever happened to the company that made them? My friend bought the deities book some time around 95 in Arizona (I think).

I have a good number of these, they were an Italian company I believe. Just miniature reprints of the originals if memory serves me.

A few months back I saw a tiny red box of 2E Forgotten Realms books, I believe they were Elminster Ecologies. It was one of the more unique D&D items I've seen, and very unusual to find it on a store shelf locally. No doubt it was part of the same series.
