Waterdeep

You have an extremely well-written, mapped and detailed accessory on Skullport already. Just what kind of additional information do you think this place needs??

I remember the waerdeep boxed set I thought it was good. I hope that I will see a little of the same in thoroughness.

I would expect a good history that actually gives you grit enough for your own plothooks.

A great map nothing really works without a great map. Maybe a different section map also, sewers undermountain, certain keeps and castles.

A good economical overview including a section on how it trades and impacts other cities.

A section describing different faction and groups

I really don't know if I need a in depth stat block in the character section but I am sure that it will come.

This is just what I would want to see

The Seraph of Earth and Stone

I don't know how Eric earned such pessimism about how much new lore this book (the third of its name) will have -- when has he disappointed before? Some of what I'd like to see is an expanded history, following up a thread from Elminster in Hell, and more on the infrastructure, life, and traditions of the city.

Pessimism? Nevaah!

Simply just can't recall a time, at all.

I'd like to see some conversions of the little floaty skull guys in Skullport and their 3E capabilities. Perhaps some new factions etc. Plus everything else everyone mentioned. Go Eric!

That said, here are some questions for discussion:
What do you expect to see in this book?
What do you want to see in this book?
What do you not want to see in this book?
Did nae see this before. Okay, here goes: I want to see prestige classes, feats, skills, spells and a little info on Undermountain. I have no doubt that we will see the first four. I expect to see info on the Lords of Waterdeep, an annotated timeline of the city and a smattering of magic items. What I do not want is any information on the surrounding area. Thats about it.

Oh yeah, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will see FR supplements regarding The Mere of Dead Men, The Moonshae Isles and an Evermeet book. It may be wishful thinking but I'd love to see an update to the 2nd Edition book, Pirates of the Fallen Stars.

The latest word from Rich Baker is that a Moonshae accessory may be on the schedule some time soon-ish (which can mean anything up to 3 years for WotC). As for the Mere of Dead Men, I wouldn't think such a small area would have a sourcebook devoted to it. Have you read the Mere of Dead Men DUNGEON module series? Eric Boyd's "Eye of Myrkul" final installment gives you a ton of stuff on the history of the Mere and other surrounding areas.

I have. I love 'em. :)

Do you know which issues those were in? I think they came out at a time in which I was too busy to get a lot of Dungeon reading in, but I wouldn't mind going back now and checking them out.

"Eye of Myrkul" is in #73; the other Mere of Dead Men adventures leading up to it don't have much Realmslore. Eric's other Dungeon adventure thus far is "Sleep of Ages" in #69.
