Waterdeep?

It's surprising that there's been almost NO buzz about this. It was a pretty hot topic back in 2003 when it was first announced in a Gencon Seminar, but Ed Greenwood could say almost nothing about it; now, imminently near release, not one peep!

Peep.

Ed's got all his peeps in his entourage...

I'm looking forward to the updated stuff in the sourcebook, but I think I'm more looking forward to the Waterdeep novel and the campaign arc in Dungeon. The sourcebook will return the Shadow Thieves, which will be a good addition to intrigue adventures in Waterdeep.

I am still looking forward to the sourcebook, though. I have both Waterdeep and the North and the City of Splendors boxed set, but I like reading the updated and expanded stuff. Usually the FR stuff now complements rather than rehashes the 2nd edition stuff.

I stayed well away from Champions of Ruin and will do the same with Champions of Valor. I've got exalted deeds and vile darkness... they work well enough for any setting.

That's the problem......Finding a GOOD online store......I've heard horror stories of people ordering things off online stores and not getting their product any sooner than if I WAIT until they've delivered a copy here to western Kansas (after the first two or three deliveries get burned by the raiding indian parties).....

Any recommendations???

James

Amazon? Works here in Topeka. ;)

Im looking forward to it, I just hope it gets half as good a treatment as Waterdeep got back in the old "Waterdeep and the North " supplement of 2e as that was one I did and do get a lot of use from as far as the city goes.

KaaYoss,

That may be so, BUT DTRPG.com doesn't have it listed ANYWHERE on their site that I could see.

Not from "Upcoming releases" or in the Wizards of the Coast section.

So I'm saying no and certainly I don't recall WotC saying "Oh yeah Waterdeep will be available in PDF." Cause I'm sure they would have mentioned that after mentioning Lords of Madness.

DTRPG.com

About the ONLY place I know where one could acquire a copy of the new Waterdeep book.

Isn't that what he's asking?

Yes. I was wondering what you meant with your "that may be so, but..."

I wasn't referring to the PDF version, as we were advising him on shops to buy the real book.
