Way to get girls (?!): the new column for the new Dragon.

Let's not forget something here. There is one thing that D&D failed to do throughout its history that MMORPG's and White Wolf both succeeded at - reaching female gamers. MMORPG players are almost 50% women. Dragon readership (according to the poll a couple of years back) was 5%.

If they manage to get that number higher, more power to them.

As far as burying the article, I think what you'll see once the mags go pay per view, is that many of the articles you won't need to sign in to see - just like most pay magazines. I can really see this one being one of them.

Weird. I wouldn't have guessed a Wisconsin term like bubbler would hang on in New England.
There is something strange that Wisconsin and New England have many of the same terms:
We get water from bubblers. We drink soda, etcetera.

They're both tainted by emanations from Canada.

After reading the first few posts in the thread I went and read the article and I have to say I was surprised. From the comments I expected it to be unreadable. However I had no problem reading the article and I found it to be amusing and enjoyable. I actually had no interest in reading her book, but now I might check it out. I honestly don't understand the hostility towards the article. I expect i will continue to read it as it comes out.
