How long does the spell you 'traded for' last? Can you scribe it to a scroll? To your spellbook?

That PrC seems to make the wizard into a sorcerer with all the spells in the book known (but with fewer spells per day than a sorcerer).

I'm playing in a group that has one of these guys. So far he's been really powerful!

How long does the spell you 'traded for' last?

One minute per caster level or until cast.

Can you scribe it to a scroll? To your spellbook?

Scribing into your spellbook takes at least 8 hours, but the PrC specifically prevents a wizard from learning new spells by putting the spellpool spell into his spellbook.

That PrC seems to make the wizard into a sorcerer with all the spells in the book known (but with fewer spells per day than a sorcerer).

Only once or twice per day (depending on spells taken); limited to Caster Level / 2 spell levels from the pool on any given day. Thus a 12th character level MotAO can cast two "spontaneous" fireballs (note that this takes him at least four rounds to do so twice - full round to call, standard action to cast each fireball), if he leaves two 3rd level spell slots open when he prepares.

He is great for those little non-combat or expected combat issues where a particular spell would be quite handy, but wasn't prepped. Doesn't seem like he would be that much more powerful than a regular wizard, though.
