Weapon Enchantments and Monks

First Post
"A monk’s unarmed strike is treated both as a manufactured
weapon
and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects
that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural
weapons (such as the magic fang and magic weapon spells)."

I tried to see if this has been discussed before and I didn't have much luck finding a straight answer. The rules don't clearly go into this or at least from what I've read.

Could anyone tell me if I am allowed to place weapon enchantments on a Monks body?

Only if you
1. Cast the appropriate spell on it
2. Buy a greatly overpriced Amulet of Mighty Fists
3. Become a Kensai
4. Buy a Necklace of Natural Attacks

Maybe I am missing something or am being unclear. I understand that spells can be placed on it but can they be placed on permanently like a giving +1 or Holy or Keen etc?

It wouldn't be a bad idea, but I don't think you can enchant a monk's unarmed strike. At least I've never heard it suggested in the monk optimization threads and monk handbooks I've read.

Is a monk's fist considered a "masterwork item"? :p

Craft Magic Arms And Armor
...The weapon, armor, or shield to be enhanced must be a masterwork item that you provide...

You cannot enchant a Monk's unarmed strike. Jimlock's right, it has to be masterwork in order to become a permanent magic item - and no matter what a monk tells you, he's not a masterwork.

I appreciate the direct answer and not being sarcastic and rude with me. Honestly.
