There are a few items I think that would make rather crappy thrown weapons.

Whips, arrows, scythes, lances, gauntlets, slings, two bladed swords. They just seem a bit... funny... to be throwing.

It's all about the Bracers of Striking...

Ninja Scroll. The first bad guy from that film gives me much respect for the two bladed sword with throwing and returning enhancements.

Well the question with a double weapon is...
Can you enchant one side with throwing and then consider it a thrown weapon??

As to hypersmurfs problem with spell storing weapons...
Was it a sage ruling that said that anything masterwork could be enchanted as a weapon? I believe it was specifically referring to manacles and the Justicar class from CW...

And beyond that - anyone noticed that the SRD doesn't seem to say anything anywhere about enchanting 50 ammunition as a single item?

There's also a footnote to the Market Price Modifier table that states something like "This is the price for 50 arrows, bolts, or bullets".
