Weapons: Light Lance? & Disarming Weapons

Felnar

First Post
i just noticed that the weapon pictures on page 115 on my PHB shows a "light lance" and a "heavy lance", but the statblock only has "lance"

are their stats for these somewhere?
(or maybe it's late and i'm blind)

also
some weapons give "a +4 bonus on opposed attack rolls made to disarm an enemy (including the roll to avoid being disarmed if such an attempt fails)."
is this intentionally not giving the bonus when someone else starts a disarm attempt (ie. only when they counter-disarm)

It's a holdover from 3e when there was a light and heavy lance. Now there's just a lance in the PHB.

I've always assumed it applies in all cases, even when somebody else starts the disarm. Given that the sentence states that you get the bonus 'to disarm' and later 'to avoid being disarmed' I'd say it applies to all scenarios.

Only one weapon does that, the sai. The others all give a +2 bonus. The weapon does not help you from being disarmed if someone else starts it.

But if your opponent fails in his disarm attempt, it would provide the bonus on your counter-disarm attempt.

okay
lance graphics were reused
and
sai just happened to be the SRD i copy/pasted
and it's meant to only benefit resisting counter disarms

thanks for the clarifications
