A good alternative is something like SquareSpace. Reasonably priced, you can easily use your own domain name, and you can set up a great-looking site with no technical knowledge. Perfect, I think, for small businesses and such.

(I'm in no way associated with them, I just see it as the future of website creation for simple websites, portfolios, and blogs.)

I hear the new Opera has an editing mode where it updates the web page instantly so no refresh as far as I can tell. I have not tried it out yet tho.
