Website With World Population Information?

I'm working on my Mutants & Masterminds 2E campign background and history and I need to know the world population for the year 1859. Does anyone know where I can find this info?

I'd normally say "CIA Factbook", but 1859... dunno. Ask the Expeditious Retreat Press guys, I guess. Their medieval Europe research was spot on, and 1859 is hopefully easier.
