Wednesday Night ENworld Gathering

Without getting into politics, HECK YES.

We are one of the few countries in the world that recognizes same-sex marriage.

Like I said, the only reason I'm not crashig your shindig later on that weekend is I have my duties at the Canadiana Suite.

Oh, and I have my FLUXX deck.

That's great! Thanks... Can we contribute anything for the good of the cause? Soda, munchies, or the like?

More info on the Canadiana Suite

Do not...
... ask where the Barenaked Ladies can be found
... ask where the poutine is

Do...
... walk into the lobby of the Embassy Suites. If you came in through the level at the garage, go up the escalator.
... stand in the middle of the foyer.
... look up. Look waaaaaaaay up (another Canuck reference). Look for the Canadian flag draped over the rail.
... take the elevator up to said floor.

OR
... go to booth "E" just outside the Exhibitor hall and look on the desk. There should be a notice of what room we're in. Hound may have even drawn a map.

OR
... go to the Embassy Suites and ask to be connected to Denise Robinson's room.

Official Suite Hours:
Wednesday 6pm-midnight
Thursday 6pm-midnight
Saturday 8pm-midnight (the Costume contest, in which the Gelflings will be dancing again, is scheduled from 4-6pm, so we'll need time to run back and get changed)
Sunday 7pm-11pm: help us finish off the beer!

Speaking of which, is anyone bringing along some Canadian music?

I just started hearing a recorder play.

You've got the all-dressed chips... I think I'll grab another Canadian variety: Ketchup chips!!!

If we wanted to be mean we could trick those American gamers. We could bring along some of our Mountain Dew, and see how long it takes them to realize that there is no caffeine in it.

As a matter of fact, I so happen to own a 4 CD set called "What a Feeling 2" which has a gazillion songs of varying genres all of a Canuck origin. Everything from Anne Murray to Snow <g>. And I think I'll bring by CD of the Frantics, cuz there's nothing more Canadian than Boot to the Head!

Teehee. Now all we need is some Littlest Hobo shows, or maybe some Degrassi, and we're set for a full cultural experience!

lol
At least now there's Mountain Dew "Energy" which is actually caffeinated. Sort of defeats the challenge and allure of having one's Americano friends smuggle up caffeine-laden Dew in exchange for Coffee Crisps and Smarties, though.

So will we see you at the Suite Wednesday evening? If so, that'd be awesome!

I'll see what I have in the car when I drive down. Maybe I'll bring up Doug and the Slugs.

They've got a weird idea of what Smarties are. They think that Rockets are Smarties...

Yeah, I'll be by, but I've got a dinner meeting at 7:30, so I won't be there for long.

I'm hoping to make it over to the suite to meet all you fellow Canadian EnWorlders Wednesday night, and if I do, I'll make sure I bring along my Bob & Doug MacKenzie CD. You don't get more Canadian then that.

Bring your Canuck change!

I just had an idea to help defray the costs associated with running the Canadiana Suite.

Bring your Canuck change with you! I'm sure that over the years, some of our currency has managed to infiltrate its way into your pockets or change jars. So why not take the chance to unload it on a worthy cause? Heck, I'll gladly accept Canadian Tire money, too!

I just spent $150 on beer, cheese curds, and sundry snacks and giveaways... Then we have to order fries & gravy to make the poutine with... So if y'all don't mind dropping a bit of coin in the donation receptacle, that'd be awesome!

In related news, if anyone knows of a spot in Indy that could deliver really awesome fries and gravy to our suite, that'd be swell- preferably nice, dark-brown fries...
