Yeah, thats whatvdoesnt make much sense to me - the school is made up of vampires, werewolves, male medusa, sirens, witches and other monsters, so what are they eating or doing in the night? Are these sparkly vampires rather than bloodsucking monsters?

Suspension of disbelief would normally cover that, but the show keeps flipflopping on what exactly is going on with the monsters and people with superpowers.

What’s weird about this season is that it’s set at the school but none of them are shown going to any classes (unlike in the first season).

I knew mechanical heart zombie boy was going to be more important! I didn’t expect Dr Fairborn to die so soon, though.

Do we think that woman Wednesday helped escape from the asylum dungeon is her aunt?

It's most likely Ophelia. But it could be a red herring- Ophelia is supposed to look identical to Morticia. OTOH, Wednesday is it's own thing, so yeah. Anything goes, I guess, lol.

Ok, what's up with this subplot about Nevermore needing money? There's no shortage of students, and most of them (I thought) were having their tuition paid, with only a few scholarships. And there's some very wealthy outcasts!

Probably, yes. And is apparently beholden to someone who he is in debt to, based on that phone call Wednesday overheard.

It's most likely Ophelia. But it could be a red herring- Ophelia is supposed to look identical to Morticia. OTOH, Wednesday is it's own thing, so yeah. Anything goes, I guess, lol.

I read an interesting theory that she might be Tyler’s mother. Could explain what his dad was doing, why there were extra warnings on her door, and the whole “You’re not my mother” thing between Tyler and Christina Ricci’s character.

My immediate thought was that the principal is embezzling from Nevermore.

It’s a private school - of course it’s desperately short of funds, and of course the headmaster is embezzling, it’s pretty much compulsory.

It’s fairly standard in dramatic storytelling to cut out the stuff when nothing plot-significant happens. Having been to boarding school, I can tell you that there is a lot of time you are in school but not in classes.

There was a scene with Pugsley causing trouble in Christopher Lloyd’s class though.

That’s how Ophelia has been done in previous versions, but I did notice Mortitia refer to her as her younger sister. Yeah, I know it’s technically true for twins, but would it be worth mentioning unless you are going for cheep point scoring?
