Weight of a Petrified character?

So 200 lbs of human body would fit in a 3 foot cube container (you would need to liquefy it first.).
Thanks for the tip :p

That looks okay though. But why is it so different then the others?

Whimsical: wuyanei had it correct above. It doesn't matter what units your density table are in. If the granite listing is x2.65 the human listing, then that's what you need to multiply by.

Mass = Volume x Density
4,467 lbs = 3 ft3 x 165 lbs/ft3

No, 3 (ft^3) x 165 (lbs/ft^3) = 495 lbs.

The only thing close to a core book that Iknow the answers are in is "How Heavy Is My Giant?", an article from Dragon Magazine, issue 13... (hang on... getting the article)... page 5.

Bah, I hate those feet and lbses =P (/me is european, I deal with metres and litres and such.. much easier)

Simplified: 100kg of human body = 265kg of granite (same volume)

Google reports: http://www.google.com/search?q=265+kg+%3D+%3Flbs&lr

Pssst: 18 karat of gold has the density of 18.9 (I think). now THAT would make a real heavy PC companion to carry out of the dungeon =P
