Weird Dreams

Allright, I know I'll regret posting this but I've been having the same dream for weeks now. I'm naked and I'm shaped like a cat. (I look completely like myself except I'm cat shaped with no fur) I am cleaning myself except everywhere I lick fur appears until I'm covered with it. Then I wake up. I don't always finish the dream either. Most times I wake up before I'm done. Weird.....

Had a dream the other night, where I and some others were trying to steal something (I don't recall what, if I ever knew) from a smallish safe, kind of old-west style.

I don't remember many details, but the robbery didn't go well, and it ended with a face-off with the owners of the safe. They had... a life-sized golem that looked like Senator John McCain, but made out of cherry Jell-o. It danced, and was fairly jolly.

There was no other political content to the dream.

Lets see what the Freud-o-meter 2000 (tm) has to say...

Naked.... shape of a cat......... licking oneself..... growing fur where licked.....

Analyzing.. Analysis complete: "Giggity."

Just to make sure the Freud-o-meter 2000 (tm) is working... "I dreamed I was a balloon and I was flouting in a park."

Had a rare one last night- a weird dream in which I was purely an observer.

It starred the late Brion James (Brion James (I) ) as Dewey Poole, an extremely clever and roguish guy from the "wrong side of the tracks" getting into all kinds of shennanigans in a near-future version of Dallas/FW (I recognized some of the skyline). Every time he got close to being caught, he conned the cops into providing him an alibi. Think of "Only Fools and Horses" coupled with "It Takes A Thief," "Blade Runner" and "MacGyver." Perhaps a dash of "The Pink Panther."

Essentially, it was a humorous action/adventure show that will unfortunately never air.

I hope I get to see more episodes, though.

I had a dream once in college that freaked me out so much that I tried to write a short story about it to sort of get over it (which didn't come out so well, but hey, I tried). If I recall, I actually had like four different versions of that dream where I'd wake up, tell myself it was a dream, and go back to sleep only to have the same dream from a different person's point of view or something.

I remember each incarnation of the dream less than the previous one. I think the first time I had the dream I started off telling the story to somebody else, and it sorta morphed into me actually seeing the whole thing from a third person point of view like a TV show. The second time I was some sort of a mute survivor of the event, listening to people talk about me and the event as if I wasn't there while I walked around dumbly, locked in my own head. I don't remember the third and fourth dreams at all, aside from the fact that I had them.

In the dream there was a small group of of young people (college age, my age at the time) on a yacht having a party. I think there were three of them, two girls and a guy (nobody I knew in real life). The yacht gets caught up in a really bad storm and people start panicking. The guy somehow gets it into his head that it's not really a storm, it's a dragon attacking the ship, and as we all know, dragons all want virgins. The guy decides that to make the dragon go away he needs to make sure there are no more virgins, so he rapes the one girl on the yacht who was still a virgin.

The actual act was sort of glossed over in my dream, but just the idea of it really freaked me out. I think the first time I woke up shaking and crying.

In the story I wrote based on the dream the guy had a little LSD, which made him hallucinate the dragon, but the ending I wrote was very lame and I think the whole story was a failure overall. Still, writing it helped me "own" the dream and make it my own. I felt more like I had control over it afterward, and it didn't freak me out as much whenever I happened to think of it.
