Weird VPN issues

Hopefully I've found the right place to report this. For the last couple of days I've had issues accessing ENWorld while connected to my VPN (NordVPN, if that matters). I was wondering if anyone else was finding the same thing? The issue is with this site and only this site. When I had a similar issue on another forum, where I'm a mod, it turned out that one of the site owners had gone nuts and globally blocked an entire IP range because of spam posts that were coming from a few of the IPs in that range. Any ideas?

Well, I haven't gone nuts. Hope that helps! :)

I think there's a node somewhere that's down. It's not our server, but quite a few people have been reporting access issues the last few days. Something's down on the route between your location and our server (or, I guess in this case, your VPN company's server location and our server).

Thanks Morrus. As an IT guy it's been driving me crazy not being able to figure it out. At least I know that I'm not alone now. For the record I've tried several different VPN server locations, all with the same result. All US servers though.

EDIT - Make that several US and Canada servers now.

I'm having issues as well, but the opposite issue. When I try connecting from my home computer, where I don't use a VPN, I can't. This has been going on for about two day or so. There was a brief window yesterday when I could connect, but not anymore. I get this error message:

I've tried using different browsers, with and without both uBlock and Privacy Badger (together and separately), and using private mode, so I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with my computer.

When I try accessing the site on my work computer, which is connected via a VPN to a site in Spain, it works fine.

I've been having issues almost every time I post; it'll usually do it, but typing a message often shows serious lag and the post process pauses visibly (ironically this post doesn't seem to be doing so). Its unlikely that's got to do with my own internet, given its fiber.

Seems to be working now.

Don't know if it was anything y'all did or if something in between got sorted out.
Thanks for the update.

See if this matches your symptoms.

Chrome via AT&T either on the phone or hotspot or other AT&T access method but worked fine in Safari or other browsers that were not chromium based.

Also seems to be working for me at the moment. I'm on Windows 11 24H2, the latest Firefox, and using an up to date Nord VPN.

Chrome is my primary browser but I had the same issue in Firefox as well (not sure if that's Chromium-based or not – I think it's been forked because of issues with Google trying to disable adblocking in Chromium-based browsers). I am connected via Ethernet to my router, which in turn is connected via Ethernet to whatever thing my ISP has placed in the basement here. I do not use AT&T since we don't have that in Sweden, but instead Telenor.

Who is your ISP? There are a couple scenarios. The one I posted is the one I could recreate. Were you able to use safari to get in?
