Nope, I have successfully managed to avoid being slain by Elves.

Dragons, particularly Dragons that live in Dragon Mountain, I have a less-good record with.

I got killed even by a celebrity elf. That frigging moon-elf bastard living in Waterdeep. Craulnober or something. Well at least my party wiped him in few rounds after that.

The only D&D character to die on me was killed of by a 3.5 drowned from the MM3 (broken things, that one was a TPK).

Though that drowned might have been a elf in life, it's technically a kill by undead.

I've killed PC's using all kinds of things, including drow. I can't remember a "real" elf killing a PC in a game though.

I can't imagine a "good" being attacking other sentient life forms with lethal force without at least giving them a chance to explain themselves. Sure, losing the element of surprise is not expedient...but doing whatever is expedient whatever the cost to others is the description of a different alignment.

On the other hand, I don't see why all elves have to be chaotic good. There could certainly be aggressive, xenophobic crazy elven communities that shoot trespassers on sight.
Don't like Adventurers kill Orcs on sight without explaining themselves... due to them being evil?

Strictly speaking, no, I don't like that either. But you haven't asked me, and of course I can live with how the things work in D&D even without liking it.

I prefer the Startrek philosophy - talk first, get shot later. Even if that means the death of countless innocent redshirts. ;)
