I think it’s you who needs new glasses, not @greymist!
According to Wikipedia, Whamageddon "is a game played during the 24 days before Christmas in which players try to go from 1 December to the end of Christmas Eve (24 December) ..."

According to the Whamageddon website, the 2nd rule is "The game starts on December 1st and finishes at the end of December 24th. Use your local timezone, if you'd like."

According to this Reddit page, Whamageddon "is a game played in the run-up to Christmas. After December 1st, if you hear Wham's song Last Christmas you lose. If you make it to Christmas Eve without hearing it, you win."

According to The Guardian, "from 1 December until 24 December, players attempt to avoid hearing this most unavoidable of Christmas songs to see who can manage the longest."

According to Atlas Records UK, "The challenge usually begins on December 1st and continues until midnight on December 24th."

Shall I continue?

Edit— Eh, never mind. It’s Christmas!

That’s a lot of words.

Your understanding of the rules is correct. Your reading of greymist’s post is not. ;)
Uh, he says he's "an hour and a half into Xmas Day" and that he "put on [his] Xmas Day playlist" and that the song played while he was out of the room playing a computer game and concludes that if he had "waited two more songs [he] would have been out".

I'm not sure what I'm missing here. Could you please enlighten me?
