The character's feats weren't anything incredibly clever: I took Martial Weapon Proficiency so I could use a Rapier, Weapon Finesse with the Rapier, Quick Draw, Improved Initiative, and Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Hand-held Crossbow). Mostly stuff for style and personality.

Since it's for style and personality I think you should custom make a halfling's rapier (small, 1d4, 18-20) if your DM allows it.

Come on a rapier wielding halfling is a lot cooler than a short sword equivalent!
