What 2005 movie are you looking forward to the most?

I picked Indy. I'm curious for Batman. Isn't Nolan still directing? And Caine and Bale are cool, as is Ras al Ghul as villain - he's a much more intellect-villain than superpower-villain...

It's PJ's King Kong all the way for me! I am beyond super jazzed for it, especailly after seeing how PJ handles giant monsters in his LotR films. Peter Jackson can make giant monster films for the rest of his days and I think I'd be very happy...

It was a close toss up between SW3 and Indy 4. I went with Indy because it will be good to see Harrison Ford play his trademark character one last time before he's consigned to the old folks home.

Star Wars Episode 3 is the only flick that really matters in 2005. Batman and Indy should be cool, but I'm not the slightest bit interested in King Kong. Didn't like the first two versions. I'm just not into giant monkey movies.

Yeah, I don't understand why Peter Jackson is wasting his time with King Kong. He'll probably do a good job with it, but I still have a hard time believing that this will be commercially successful.

None of these four films really blow my skirt up.

After Episode 2 I have absolutely no desire to see Episode 3... I don't even know if I'll spend the money to see it.

King Kong... *yawn*. I'm not a fan of the kaiju monster flicks at all, let alone daptations of movies that have already been made.

The Batman franchise has been reamed enough as it is by the movies - why make another one? Like anyone has really forgotten the total cinematic crap that the other movies were.

Indy 4 is the only one that has a chance of holding my interest. Problem is, there just hasn't been enough information about it to really grab me.

I'm certain King Kong will look really neat, but I'm pretty much *meh* about it. I'm not a fan of remaking movies that don't need to be revisited.

Indy ... I'm waiting to hear more. The last one was kinda goofy (though enjoyable), but I could see this one getting downright stup UNLESS it gets a really excellent script. I mean, you can just imagine how many "old geezer" jokes could potentially be in it.

I'm generally first in line for a "Kick WB in the junk"-fest, but everything I'm hearing about Intimidation sounds good. They picked the actor I wanted out of all the names bandied about, and Michael Caine is just ... wow. Ra's al Ghul might be a little hard to sell to an audience not steeped in the comic or the cartoon, but he's one of my favorites. Chris Nolan's the MAN, and with a good writer (Who's attached? Anyone know?) this could be a slam-dunk, and I never thought I'd say that about a Batman movie.

But I've gotta go with Episode III. I and II aren't Citizen Kane, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't entertained. Not everything I wanted them to be, but I never thought Lucas was some kind of god/genius to begin with. But it all comes down to The Duel. I've been waiting to see that for 20 years. I can only imagine the chill I'll get when you see them put that helmet on melted-face Hayden Christensen, and the voice of James Earl Jones echoes out.

Episode I and II may not have been great...but, its Star Wars, and I still love it. Obi-Wan vs. Anakin!

I went with Indy, as I grew up on those films (along with others, of course).

And I didn't pick Indy for the exact same reason. I grew up with those movies, they were filmed when Spielberg was in his filmmaking prime, Ford in his prime, etc. I really have very little desire to see a white haired Dr. Jones throw his hat off the bow of the ship while Celine Dion's voice echoes in the distance.

And I've also imagined the "Duel" between Anakin and Obi-Wan for decades. Sadly this is probably the last year I'll have a cool image of that sequence in my head before Lucas forever alters it with whatever sterile and soulless number he's got cooked up for Episode III. If its just Christiansen and McGregor swinging glowsticks in front of a green screen on a green floor with some lava and machinery badly composited behind them (which judging from TPM and AOTC it most likely will be) I'll trade in my prequel DVD's and ignore them forever.

No big either way, I'll always have Raiders and Empire. But even Tim Burton's Batmflicks were lacking in parts, and King Kong is primed for a definitive version. Bring 'em on.
