Same. Then again, maybe I got spoiled as a teen in the 80s. Don't see summer line-ups like this anymore
Oh, wow. For a minute I had a flashback to when we looked up movie show times in newspapers or called movie phone. The only two movies there that are bad are Cannonball Run II and Rhinestone. Everything else is pretty much gold.

Jurassic World and Fantastic Four. Probably won’t see any of the others.
F4 is the only one that is guaranteed to put my butt in a seat, but as long as the reviews for Superman are even decent that’ll probably get me out, too.

For the most part, now that I’m cranky and old I’d rather wait to watch at home or until they come back around to one of our small, artsy venues. Mainstream theatre audiences are increasingly annoying to me.

Warning: I'm feeling rather cynical at the moment.

I'm way too burned out on superheroes, and the idea of two more reboots of franchises that have failed me before feels more like a homework assignment than something to be excited about. Jurrasic Park has already beaten the dead horse so much it's a hole in the ground. Brad Pitt is at least 20 years too old to pull off an F1 driver. Tom Cruise ain't exactly a spring chicken either, but at least his franchise is attempting to retire. And I consider "live action" remakes of artistic animation to be the same level of respectability as the craze of colorizing movies that happened a few decades ago (i.e. gross).

28 Years Later has some good looking previews, though, so there's hope there. And I'm willing to give Naked Gun a try.

28 Years Later is at the top of my list. It would take a lot to displace it.

I really hope Superman and Fantastic Four are good, but I hate mainstream cinema audiences so much, they’ll be for home viewing.

If i had to pick one to win the summer it would be F1.

Not that I care about car racing I just want the return of original cinema. Not enough to pay to go see it mind you. Thus I am part of the problem.
