Next year promises even bigger releases than this year. Which one are you looking forward to the most?

Well you listed them in the order I'm most interested in them. Though I'm not remotely interested in seeing King Kong and Batman is wait and see (will it rise above the Schumacher crap?).

Ooops. My bad. Sorry, I misread 2005 as 2004.

In which case I will still cast a vote for other: "Aliens vs. Predator."
*chuckles* Once again, that's a 2004 release (this August to be exact).

Apparently, I is ignorant or something (as you'll see by my spelling in a bit here) but wasn't Darren Arenovsky doing some comic-book movie?

For some reason I thought it was Batman, but I could be wrong.

No you isn't ignorant. He was the first director attached to the new Batman, but that didn't last very long. Can't remember why it didn't work out.

I'm generally first in line for a "Kick WB in the junk"-fest, but everything I'm hearing about Intimidation sounds good. They picked the actor I wanted out of all the names bandied about, and Michael Caine is just ... wow. Ra's al Ghul might be a little hard to sell to an audience not steeped in the comic or the cartoon, but he's one of my favorites. Chris Nolan's the MAN, and with a good writer (Who's attached? Anyone know?) this could be a slam-dunk, and I never thought I'd say that about a Batman movie.

Ra's al Ghul is the villain?!

Okay, I have to see this now. :D

Let's see...

EpIII will probably look awesome, and may have a decent story.

Indy is an unknown quantity to me, but will probably be... rousing.

Bats has the potential to be real nifty, and the potential to suck... insert crude Joel Schumacher era joke here.

Kong is being made by a man with passion, someone who can really tell a story (you've got to admit that, right?), and that's why I voted for it despite being unable to sit through any other making of the film. I have more faith in Kong than any other property here. Plus if I play my cards right... no, musn't speak of such things. Let's just say I want to do lunch sometime in blustery Wellington.

Doesn't mean I'm indifferent to any of these films, although I find it ironic that I think Indy may be better than the other two yet I'm less likely to go see it out of hope that they will be better... life is crazy.

That's too bad. If he was directing, I'd be looking forward to it.

Instead, I don't think I'll even vote. :(

I guess PJ's "King Kong" would be highest on the list, but I won't be waiting with baited breath for another "Dead Alive" or "Heavenly Creatures" what with the budget and all. I'll have to re-watch "The Frighteners" though. I seem to recall it was pretty good, but I don't think I was blown away by it.

And (blashpemy to follow here) although I've enjoyed seeing LotR onscreen in this scale, I really haven't been blown away by it either. Maybe my irritation level with the inflation of Arwen would drop if Liv could learn to a) emote believably and b) speak in something other than an overly dramatic whisper...

I don't want to hijack the thread though, so I guess I'll just got vote for it :)

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

Is this going to be live action or animation? I have many fond memories of the first cartoon movie.

Oh and I picked SW3. I mean it's the last one. Oh and of course for The Duel.
