what ability do you want- IRL?

I wouldn't mind being the beneficiary of the Immortality true ritual. I've always wanted to know what the future would be like, and getting to witness it first hand doesn't sounds like such a bad deal.
Really? I always liked the way movies portrayed immortals as lonely and desolate. Though they are able to live extremely long, they do not make friends cause they cannot stand the pain of losing them. Nothing matters cause everything can come and go.

The only thing that you can do is make a game out of something. See how many people you can kick in the butt before you have to flee a specific area/ region, or how many hub caps can you hoard in one decade- and next decade, try to break it...

Immortality seems like a curse more than a blessing...

Hmmm... I was gonna chime in with a smart ass answer (big surprise) but after reading Regeneration... :)

Well even at my young age I've already seen people I know and love come and go, sad perhaps but it seems it gets easier and not harder. Impermanence doesn't really bother me that much. I often feel like there are so many things I'd would like to try or learn and that I could never do anything close to all of it in a single lifetime. I find the thought of spending a century or two to perfect a craft to be appealing. I won't say it wouldn't have its downsides, but I don't think i'd call it a curse.

Damage reduction 1/+1.

No more paper cuts, scratches from the cat, nips from the rats, cuts while shaving etc etc.

Although I must admit, I have dreamed of both being able to teleport at will (generally whenever I have a distance to travel) and being able to hurl lightning bolts (whenever I am in a supermarket).:D

Lay On Hands.

Stand Still from the PsiHB. Hmmmm, no more people barging into my office while I'm trying to concentrate.

On second thoughts, after reading that scary 'spell casting for real' thread: Reactive Counterspell.

- yeah- but don't you have to hit them first. so they still get to barge in- just that they would get smacked, and then freeze for a couple seconds. Not very useful if you are trying to be left along.

I would think a rune, or a lock would be better...

Alter Self at will. if I want to fly... here be my wings. If I want to go underwater. Gills'R'Us. If I want to look like a Storm Trooper...

Oh, screw that! Give me Damage Reduction 25/- and let the good times roll! No gunshot wounds, car crash impacts (except really major ones) and no worries about flame, high voltage, etc. I could be a darned super hero!

"Fat Bastard" or some such! :D (Of course, I might get sued by Mike Myers over the rights - but I could settle out of court in exchange for making a movie with him and do stunt work for free...)
