What are the 5 most powerful feats in the PHB?

Hmm... top PHB feats for people who don't believe in statistics (and so think they're much better than they actually are...)

1. Improved Initiative
2. Power Attack
3.
4.
5.

Yeah, you go on ahead and nerf fighters. They sure need it...

Most of the PHB feats are crappy. The designers admitted they made feats pretty lame in design interviews for the PHB 2, and werent happy with it. Personally, given that a character gets fewer feats than levels, feats shoudl be pretty awesome IMO. I'd prefer the 10 or so non crappy feats from the PHB be the norm, rather than "Leaping Auctioneer" that gives you a +2 to appraise and jump.

Leaping Auctioneer Feat: LOL :)

As for "nerfing" fighters, in regular D&D that might be a big deal..IMC..things are a little different. Our characters are a bunch of invalids with downs and the DM doesn't know how to modify on the fly ;)

3. Spirited Charge - Triple damage lance charges. This feat is the sole reason mounted combat is frightful.
This feat is underrated. If you've ever been on the receiving end of it, you would appreciate it more. Ouch!

Hmm. I guess what I thought was a Leadership feat must just be an eerily-legible soda stain on my PHB.
I've got a tire track across the inside cover of my PHB that explains how to summon a yog-soggoth. Strange how these things happen.

Improved Init used to be considered an overpowered, must-have feat in the past, but I don't see it so much now. The problem is that the d20 roll is a big, big variable, and even having +6 or +8 on initiative checks doesn't guarantee a first place in the order - if you only have 3-4 combats in an evening, it might not even help once.
I was thinking to replace init with a Refl save.

In my campaigns the top three are:

1. Great Cleave
2. Combat Reflexes

Really? Great cleave? Do you typically send hordes of low HP guys at your PC's? It always struck me as a near useless feat, since its best against non-threats. It reminds me of "sweeping" attacks against creatures under 1 HD from 1st or 2nd edition.
