So what type of game are running with D20 Modern?

If you aren't doing anything with it...what settings are you waiting for?

All the best...

One of my players wants to run a pulp game with it- it has been ok so far. I still don't like it. ;)

What is it that you don't like about D20 Modern?

I think that the wealth system is a little unusual. The base classes are a little too broad. But nothing really strikes me as being unplayable. :D

Those are two of my big ones- add in the feats (a combination of a continuation of the problem with d&d's feats and how many +2/+2 skill feats do we actually need?).

The background system was shoddy- why bother is there is no rhyme/reason to them?

I did not care for the advanced class system- especially the ones tied to fx. By the time they get access to the weakest of FX- the foes at that level are immune or unconcerned about the impact.

The car chase rules seem overly complex and involve to much setup from the dm.

Action points are very poorly put into the game- especially the way they are gained and how some class abilities are even tied to them.

In the end- I think the game is playable. I just don't like it.

Considering how their was no flood of 3rd party support as there was when D&D 3rd came out- I am wondering how many people do like it.

But- for those who do like it. Enjoy! :)

I bought D20 Modern but the more I delve into it the more I want to stick to Spycraft. So I guess my answer is: NUFFIN!

Yeah, I am in the same boat. I was excited about the idea of d20 modern, but am grateful Spycraft is there to make up for the final product.

So I guess people aren't waiting with much anticipation for Urban Arcana or Gama World?

The one guy in my group who likes d20 Modern is really excited about UA. I may pick it up- if he intends to run something in it and the players need a copy.
