What are you going to do with ur 3.0 books after 3.5 comes out?

They go on the self or in the boxes with all the other gaming books I'm not currently using. Old gaming books may go into retirement but never forever. They always seem to have uses in future games.

I expect to be switching to 3.5e, but I won't get rid of my 3e books. If they're still largely useful, I'll keep them in service. If not, then I'll just shelve them -- I like keeping my gaming books around, even if I'm not using them.

I used to sell off books pretty quickly if I didn't think I'd use them again. Sometimes I was right, and I didn't miss them -- but most of the time I was wrong. I've wound up re-buying things years later too often to jump into that sort of decision again.

Besides, I got Gary Gygax to sign my PHB at GenCon 2000 -- how could I get rid of that? :D

I already gave them to a friend who's currently running a campaign while I'm too busy to even play. I will wait till September to get the gift set.

Keep 'em... I'm probably not gonna buy the new ones anyhow, I'll just download the ESD updates. But if for some reason I do buy them, I imagine that enough of the old book will still be usable to warrent keeping it around for game nights... to look up spells in and such... Or in case I decide I don't like all of the changes, I'll have a copy on hand of the old way.

I'll keep mine for the collection, although I have to give props to Hal for donating them to the library so others can game on. Very cool.

Give 'em up? Are you kidding!

Every book is a slice of D&D history. They'll sit proudly beside their forebearers dating all the way back to the days of OD&D...
