Thought about wall papering my basement with them paper mache (sp) style.

I saw in a movie once a guy wall papered his room in the bible to keep out evil spirits and devils. Maybe my wall paper will keep my wife from my fantasy refuge.

Probably not a good idea though I'd never have any claen undies since the washing and drying implements are down there.

Did you just compare your wife to devils? I assume there is no chance she will read this.

I have 2 sets, one I lend out, and 1 I keep. I will keep one set to continue lending and the other I will donate to the library, good idea Hal :)

So much worse than any devil dude, you have no idea......

Still use them probably. I don't plan on buying them quite yet. I need to use the $90 I would spend on them for hotel fees at GenCon. My hard (and sparsely) earned money will be used for stuff I actually want and need.

Speaking of which, how young is too young for D&D core books? There's nothing *vile* in the books, but I have to be a concerned parent anyhow. (Like I said, the kid does have the Adventure Game.)

I'll give them to my son. He's got the Adventure Game and that's it.

Sorry, Derek, I hate when people use obscure shorthand. :p Yeah, it's Living Greyhawk.

Heh heh! I just wanted to make sure LG = Living Greyhawk and not something I don't know about that has to do with Canada. ;) Don't forget, you might be living in Lawful Good for all I know. ;)

From what I can tell, LG will have a new 3.5 revision for the LG Campaign Sourcebook in June so it may be faster than you think.

I think that's something only you can decide for your kids.

I don't think there's anything in them harmful to a child of any age; it's decidely all PG, IMO. There doesn't seem to be anything scarier than your classic fairy tale stuff (which can be scary..)

But my boys are only 5 and 2, so I'm not the most experienced parent in the world, and YMMV.

As a former zoomie, I'm going to send my extra books to an Air Force base in the gulf. When you're deployed, you're either very busy or bored out of your mind, so that will give the bored folks something fun to do.

This works for me because I've got extra copies (signed at GenCon) that I'll hold on to and use until July, when they join my 2E books on the shelf... (sadly the 1E books are gone due to a parental confiscation many years ago :) ) The only thing extra I don't have is another MM, so I'll probably pick one up today to send off with the multiple PHB's and my extra DMG. (And dice...)

I'm also thinking about buying some extra 3.5 books in July and sending a care package off so the troops can have the new rules.

I don't have the address I'm sending everything to yet, but I'll post it as soon as I get it, in case anyone wants to send something. If anyone has any Army, Marines, or Navy addresses, post them, as I don't know how to get those. Eventually (when I've got more cash) I'd like to send packages to each service. Maybe I'll start a new thread when I get that address.

Edit: Also addresses for the British and Australian forces would be great!
