Holiday weekend in the US so what are you doing to see this weekend? War of the Worlds, Rebound, UnDead, something from last weekend, or other.

I was planning on seeing War of the Worlds, but Toms lastest antics on Good Morning America, and just his over exposure in general. I really don't feel like giving him my money.

Was there something more than the Matt issue? I don't know how I felt about that issue, I thought both Matt and Tom were out of line but in some ways I agree with Tom that Americians are over medicated, treatment vs cure.

I can agree that both were somewhat out of line to each other. It seems every time we see Tom on TV it's either about him and Katie, or he is pushing Scientology(sp). And it has not bothered me before, but for some reason this time I am just tired of it and I just want him to go away. Over-exposed that's the word I was looking for.

No movies for me. This weekend is for parties, my birthday, fireworks, and baseball. I better stock up on the sunscreen and water; I don't plan on being inside very much at all this weekend!

No movies for me either, though honestly none of them look all that interesting to me anyway. Besides, I have to work this weekend and on the fourth, so it's not like I have time.

What really bugged me about Tom, other than the fact that I think he's totally bat-crap crazy, is that he took a specific premise that many people agree with and then said a general based on it is true. Yes, I believe there's a good degree of over-medication, and a lot of irresponsible doctors is the cause. That does not mean that chemical imbalances do not exist, and it does not mean that psychiatrics is a sham. His whole argument otherwise was "I said so Matt." Personally I bet Lauer wanted to just go off on him, but he showed a little class... something Cruise hasn't shown much of... well, in quite a while.

I voted 'last weekend', assuming that the category included films from the couple of weekends before as well.

Probably Batman Begins. I haven't seen it yet.

The only movie I want to see in a theatre right now is a limited release and it isn't showing anywhere near me. So instead it's a gaming marathon on Canada Day and a LOTR marathon the rest of the weekend.

I don't know what I will see yet, but I do know what I won't see, and that is War of the Worlds. I dislike the notion of updating it and I trust neither Spielberg or Cruise to get the tone anywhere close to my liking.

Sad, but true :(
