Haven’t listened to it yet, but the new one from Rival Sons is in my room right now. I’m planning on getting the latest from The Cult, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Muse, Yes, Paramore, Piroshka, Clutch, King’s X, Tedeschi Trucks, Robert Plant & Allison Krause, Wet Leg and- after a 10 year hiatus- The Hives in 2024.

Oh boy, do I have a story for you.

19 years me and some new friends I made when I had just finished school were sharing some of our favorite song files and I probably developed most of my musical taste that year. One friend send me a few songs by Dargaard and two by Theatre of Tragedy. I liked them all and over the next months bought all four Dargaard CDs. But somehow never looked any further into Theatre of Tragedy than those two songs.

Until two days ago, when I found the files while cleaning out my computer and spontaneously thought to look them up. Now I got Aegis, and it's soo damn good! I would have loved it back then. As much as I love it now. I usually don't like new music when I hear it the first time and only start to appreciate it on the third or fourth time around. But this immediately became one of my new favorites.

I've been a fan of Theater of Tragedy since 1996, though I only like the first 3 albums. They were truly innovative back then. I remember meeting Liv Kristine Aspenæs at Wacken '97. [emoji3526]

Friday night both our machines finished up their orders early, and two of our crew left early as well...

So for once I finally got to be the one in charge of what music I listened to since I was the only one in the room where I was working.

Nightwish at Wacken 2013, the full concert, followed by a Floor Jansen playlist... Three hours of glorious music.
