Mostly I'm interested in hanging out with people.
My gaming experiences at Cons are have never been that great (ranging from "average" to "abominable'...with the median being "kind of bad")
Gen Con last year was kind of the exception to the rule, having played and awesome demo of Mutants and Masterminds with the author, Steve Kenson, and a terrific bunch of games of Giant Monster Rampage under the auspices of the good folks at Mystic Eye Games.
EN World's own Hellhound was supposed to run a game of Villains and Vigilantes last year that I'm sure would've been awesome, and Nutkinland's Leopold was slated to run a 3E treatment of Against the Giants that I just could not for the life of me track down!
I intend to get really, really drunk with a bunch of people including (but not limited to) everyone who was present at last years drunk at that outdoor patio thing where the guy eventually gave everyone a boat ride. Mark Clover, TwinRose software Folks, Hal Greenberg...I'm talking to you
I will not punch anyone in the lobby this year, no matter how freakin' annoying they are.
I'm not going to purchase weaponry this year (what the hell was I thinking trying to get a bodice dagger home with only carry on luggage?)
I'll probably play some Heroclix. I hated it last year at Gen Con (My famously crappy dice hand really outdid itself...going for a personal best---meaning worst), but it has grown on me over the year.
I will try and spend more time with Morrus and Al (assuming we are roomies again)
I will listen with patience as D&D geeks excitedly point out that my last name is Ranger over and over and over...
I'm not going to the "free booze" party. The booze wasn't plentiful enough to merit that enormous crowd.
I'll try and run something as a pickup game for the EN World faithful (maybe some kind of superhero thing...that's the Genre I really excel at.)
More as I think of them...
