What are you reading in May?

There's an Architecture of the World series that has my interest right now. I picked up a used copy of The Roman Empire (12th of 14, I believe) and the drawings (professional) and photos (ruins, but some not so "ruined") are phenominal. I'll be mining these books for inspiration even as I gather them all for my bookshelves. :)

I read a Game of Thrones last week, today I'm finishing A Clash of Kings, and tommorow I'll start A Storm of Swords.

Enjoying them mostly, though it's a wonder how Martin manages to squeze some kind of sex (whoring, rape, incest, whatever) into nearly every chapter...

Currently enjoying a passing fancy with 'Crossroads of Twilight ' (although I'm enjoying Sepluchrave's Story Hour quite a bit, too).

Read Harry Knowles' 'Ain't it Cool' last month. Good Read, that. Also read '1632', which was fun, although I got a little tired of the characters being TOO competent, after a while.

Considering picking up another Jared Diamond history treatment (since I dug 'Guns, Germs and Steel' so much), or maybe 'Masters of Doom', the book about Id Software's early days with John Carmack and John Romero.

Meaning to read some Jack Vance, too.

Actually, I'm going to be starting the Anne of Green Gables series. My wife absolutely loves the series, so I'm going to buckle down and read it just to see why she likes. Hopefully, if she sees me reading that, I can convince her to try and game with us...my gaming group already convinced her best friend to join.

Currently chewing through The Enemy Papers by Barry Longyear. It's a collection of the "Drac" stories, including the ever-famous "Enemy Mine".

Perdido Street Station - China Melville

Just got it yesterday. . .

I finished The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier & Clay the night before. . . great book!

Just finished Pico Iyer's The Lady and The Monk. Probably try something lighter next. Gotrek and Felix perhaps... :D
