What are you taking to Gen Con?

The last remaining copies of A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe. (OOP)

Copies of A Magical Society: Eclogy and Culture, Monster Geographica: Underground, Monster Geographica: Marsh & Aquatic.

Chairs.

Squishy flooring for the tired feets.

Misc. Booth Stuff.

And Hope, a metric butt-load of hope.

Hope that copies of A Magical Society: Beast Builder, Monster Geographica: Forest, and 1on1 Adventures #1 Gambler's Quest actually show up in Indy on time.

And hope that we win an ENnie. :)

No, the roofrack is already full with "our" luggage.

There's always the "strap you across the front grill like a hood ornament" treatment if there is no room inside since the top is full. :)

This is the first year that I'll be flying to the con, so my goal is to bring as little as possible.

From a gaming standpoint, I'm bringing my little Rook box, which holds pens, dice, index cards and other goodies, as well as a small pad (mainly to write down things I want to come back to in the dealers' room) and an empty bag to fill with purchases. ;)

Every year prior, I've bought a stack of books -- which did get smaller each time -- and used, at most, one of them. I'm finding the idea of bringing zero gaming books this year strangely refreshing! :)

Laptop bag to carry the following:
• 3 Ring Binder w/Character Sheets & DM Screens
• 2 Sets of Dice
• Two Mechanical Pencils
• Ultra Fine Point Black Sharpie
• Fine Point Metallic Sharpie for Autographs
• SE PHB Thank You Insert for Autographs
• D20 Modern
• PHB
• Arcana Evolved
• Grim Tales
• Traveller D20

And plenty of room left over for purchases.

what I'm bringing to Gen Con Indy, by Denise Robinson

-gaming stuff: dunno- ask hound. each of our family will carry a dice bag with pencils and eraser and notepad, though.

other stuff:
-2 glass display cases, 2 large plastic containers holding a display, ps2 and small tv (hey, it's a 16 hour drive with kids in a minivan!) with movies and games (but no ddr!), costumes for the gelflings for the costume contest, fancy clothes for the ennies, a big plastic tub full o' swag, gifts for volunteers, and canadiana suite food and gifts, a few cases of beer, a cooler full of sandwiches, snacks, and drinks for said 16 hour drive, an air mattress to help minimize the butt-grabbing factor in the judges' room (4 guys, 3 beds), 2 boxes of laundry detergent (2 for $1 at the dollar store!) so we can pack lighter. comfy walking shoes, bathing suit.

oh yeah, and i am happy to say, i will bring the hound! he got his birth certificate (finally!!!), so will probably be let into the u.s.!

You mean she isn't going to make you ride on the roof, Hellhound?

Heck, for awhile it was looking as though I might leave him behind- he didn't have a birth certificate, and the last time crossed the border (to go to Origins), he almost wasn't let in! And there's no way I'd turn around and drive back home from the Detroit (9 hour drive) crossing!

Laptop (but not for gaming, just for e-mail at the hotel)

DragonScale Mats and markers
Firery Dragon Counters
3.5 PHB
Basic/Expert Rulebooks and an adventure
Fluxx deck
30 point Pirates of the Spanish Main fleet (if I get one put together)
Deck of Playing cards (WWII ship or plane spotter cards)
