I'm a bit of a TV junkie.

In no particular order, my TV watching consists mostly of:

CNN
Hockey
Baseball
Dr. Who
Burn Notice
In Plain Sight
Later...with Jools Holland
River Monsters
Psych
Concerts on HDNet
Law & Order: Criminal Intent
Criminal Minds
...and the odd episodes of true crime shows like First 48, Wicked Attraction and Most Evil, as well as other mind-candy like World's Dumbest and Mythbusters

I recently gave up on Dexter. Love it though I do, I can't justify spending all that money on the movie package for Verizon FIOS just to watch Dex and the occasional movie. I'm better served buying the DVDs at some future point.

EDIT: Forgot- I watch a fair amount of the Food Channel, mostly Good Eats and Iron Chef.

I've been watching the second season of Carnivale, which I've found to be particularly good. To me the storyline got even better as it progressed.

Also I'm taking the kids and wife to see the Hubble Vision 2 show at the planetarium tonight. Then probably go over to the old Naval telescope and hang around with the astronomers awhile. Be a full moon too so we'll all probably get in some good moon watching.

On Memorial Day my wife and kids will be at a picnic but not me cause my squadron has a party that night. But all during the day I'll be here by myself with little to do.

Anybody recommend any thing good to watch or rent?

The Hubble Vision show was good, but underdone I thought considering Hubble's real capabilities.

But an hellacious thunderstorm came up last night on the mountain, lightning knocked out the dome projector, all the other shows were cancelled, and they shut the observatory down. So all of that sucked.

A few minutes ago I just watched The Road. It was a tremendously good film, but bleaker than inescapable doom. I had to kinda shake it off by taking a little walk in the dark.
