What are your favorite monster books?

Of the ones I've seen, Monster Manual, Monster Manual 2, and Fiend Folio.
Havent gotten to see Tome of Horrors yet.
I like a lot of stuff in the Creation Collections etc but some of it is to scarred lands specfic.

Didn't we just have this thread?

Anyways...

0. Monster's Handbook - Not properly a monster book, but a monster customization guide.

1. MM. Still has most of the big staples, and gets used the most.
2. Legions of Hell. An adventure idea with every creature.
3. CC2. Lots of interesting and off-the-wall creatures.
4. Tome of Horrors. The classics are nice. :)
5. Necromantic Lore. If you can't tell, I lean a little more toward the specialty monster books over the "big collections".

Can't recommend this one enough. After I bought it I kicked myself for not buying it when it first came out. Excellent, excellent stuff.

Here's my favorites:

Monsternomicon: This is EXACTLY how all monster books should be. Lots of information and excellent monsters.

Monster Manual: Let's face it, even if there weren't any other monster books you'd still be set with this book.

Savage Species: The Templates, PrC's, and Monster Classes made this an instantly used book at my gaming table.

Denizens of Darkness: While I don't really like Ravenloft, this book has some great, dark creatures that are easily usable in any setting.

Fiend Folio: Thank God this book wasn't as goofy as the original. As it stands it's a must have for planar campaigns.

Going way back, I enjoyed the original Fiend Folio, even if it was goofy. Also, Dark Races by GDW (for the Dark Conspiracy game). I never play Dark Conspiracy, but it gave me lots of ideas).

Monster Manual - Hey it is a core book
Monsternomicon - Wonderful set of monsters with bite, good range and a lot of useful information
Savage Species - Not a monster book but should be considered a must have

I really wish I could find a copy that the covers weren't bowed outward on.

Oddly enough, for me it's the Monsternomicon that's starting to get bowed out covers.
