What are your favorite weapons?

Simple qustion, what are your favorite weapons (for flavor reasons) for your characters to have?

I'm not asking for the best weapon for a min-maxed character. I mean the weapon that just feels right.

Mine is the heavy crossbow. I know that there may be better ranged weapons, but I just like the old-west gunslinger feel of a big "You feelin' lucky, punk?" crossbow. Every character I have that can get away with it has one.

Dwarvenb Battle axe but only because in second edition we had a campaign specific weapon that was exactly this. I was very pleased to see it in the core rules since we had been using it for years.

Quarterstaff.

So much character. So much history. So easy to say, "you wouldn't part an old man from his walking flip-out-and-smash-you-twice stick, would you?"

That, and it's free. Whee!

A rather simple one for me... A dagger. I tend to play rangers or rogues and of course they always need a dagger close at hand. Usually in a sheath that runs horizontal at the small of their back.

Spears.... one of the worst weapons rules wise but i love them, it just seems to have such an awesome feel you can respect the guy with a sword on his belt but you had BETTER respect the guy with a 6 foot spear i once had fun taking a challenge and i took it intop of some 60 foot poles i had a homebrew feat thati could make a strike at an opponent 10 feet away once a round... long story short i not only shoved him off the poles i dived down with my spear and pined him to the ground with 4 feet of spear and then said "would anyone else like to challenge my leadership?"

Bastard Sword. I play a ranger and I've used a Bastard Sword since 2e. Since I'm an archer, I don't have a shield thus I don't need the exotic weapon prof. since I use it two handed.
