What book should I buy?

Good stuff, Crothian. I think that simply suggesting to buy whatever book(s) just came out is doing a serious disservice to gamers looking for d20 recommendations.

There are also some really good books out there that do not appear on the Top 20 because there aren't more than 5 reviews of the product in the database. A good example of this is From Stone to Steel by MonkeyGod Enterprises, Torn Asunder: Critical Hits from Bastion Press, Artificer's Handbook and The Deep both by Mystic Eye Games. All of these are excellent books that have had vocal support both here and on other message boards yet they lack sufficient reviews get noticed in the Top 20. While the Top 20 is a good place to start, don't overlook the tall trees while gazing at the forest. :)

The Deep is also new, isn't it? I don't have that yet (because I don't know what I'd use it for, other than reading) but it did look very good.

i haven't been able to find it anywhere near me.

I would recommend you decide what kind of book you want. Many of the books mentioned above are great, but they may not suit particular needs.

Loads of people love A Magical Medieval Society: Wester Europe (like Monte Cook); on the other hand, there are those who say that work just offers information tehy already know or could read about in history books.

Since you already have AU and the Diamond Throne, you might consider books that work well with that material. Mystic Eye Game's Eberring Keep (or somethign, I can't remember exactly) and Fiery Dragon's Plague of Dreams are two AU adventures. Plus, Tome of Horrors, Creature Collections I & II, and Relics and Rituals I & II (some fo those books are being/have been revised) have tie ins with the Diamond Throne. The Book of Eldritch Might I-III do as well, and they're also being revised and re-rereleased as an all-in-one hardcover this spring.

For DND my first two suggestions:
Shaman's Handbook by Green Ronin
Witch's Handbook by Green Ronin

For d20 supers:
Mutants and Masterminds (also by Green Ronin)

Depends on what you want, but I still think Book of the Righteous is the best D20 book yet. In addition to a great explanation of how gods/pantheons work, the Holy Warrior section is worth most of the cost.

Before buying the Witches Handbook from Green Ronin, download the Netbook of Witches (free). It is quite extensive. Indeed, unless you are averse to pdfs, I'd buy 3 or 4 pdfs instead of one D20 book. You can usually find a specialized topic or 5 you are interested in for the price of one printed book. Of course, there is the whole print issue.

For printed books, I'd recommend any Green Ronin product, they are are very consistent in terms of quality and usefulness. Given the first 2 books in the series, I'd wait for their Book of Fiends to come out, and buy that.
