What brings you joy?

I'm a pretty joyous person so I've got a bunch.

Laughing with my best friends in the world on our weekly game night.
When my wife tells a dirty joke and I remember that she is cool AND the woman that I love.
Sitting in my basement when it is raining with a fire in the fireplace and a really good book in my lap.
Any time I get an unexpected chance to help somebody who really needs it.

But "Daddy, I love you." is hands down the best.

Honestly. Joy is a naked schoolchild in the mud after a rain. With puppies. (Parents understand. ;) )

First and foremost my wife and two children
A comfortable home
Quiet time with a good book
Sunrises (Sunsets are nice, but the quiet of the world at sunrise makes the beauty so much more)
Sitting in the woods on the banks of a swift-flowing river
Chocolate (especially dark chocolate)
Enjoying a bottle of wine while cuddled with my wife and the children sleeping
Doing something for a total stranger to bring them peace and joy
Getting together with my friends for a D&D game or some other purpose

In no particular order:

Watching my son grow up
Knowing Jesus offers me a chance
Those rare moments when I can hit every note Bruce Dickinson does when he sings
Babies
Baby animals
Christmas lights
Winter
Wind in my face
Reading about new paleontological discoveries
Puns
Gaming (especially when I do something that totally surprises my players. They're a jaded lot) :)
Christmas songs
My childhood
My friends and family
Rainy or snowy days
Staying up waaaay too late for no apparent reason and sleeping late the next day

I'll stop here. I could go on forever. :)

Bringing other people down with me when I'm having a bad day.

Cutting people off and tailgating when they're driving too slow.

Pushing old ladies down in the grocery store when they get in my way.

Wow, you must be able to heat your place practically for free with all the coal Santa must bring you ;)
