What can a high level, reincarnated druid do with A Thousand Faces?

Say a druid of 13th or higher level gets killed, and then reincarnated in non-humanoid form...

It seems to me that she could use her A Thousand Faces ability to assume the appearance of her original body...

Are there any official rulings preventing the scenarios above?

I guess I'll have to be the wise-acre who points out that a 13th level druid who gets killed and reincarnated absolutely can't do this, since the druid loses a level when she gets reincarnated and a 12th level druid doesn't have the thousand faces ability.

Honestly, I'm shocked I was the first one to mention it. :)

It could be worse... what if your human Drd13/Rgr1 gets reincarnated as a dwarf?

He suddenly begins incurring a 20% penalty on all subsequently-gained experience towards getting his Thousand Faces ability back...

A druid in a game I used to play in used this trick. He would take off all of his gear, wildshape into a dire bear, thousand faces back to his elf form, and put his equipment back on. He just had to be very careful about wooden floors.
